Reference Label

Displays as a dynamic value on the activity screen. This value cannot be changed.

Options

The Object Configuration Wizard Options tab shows the specific properties for the control.

Value Default value or Expression for current control.
Width Used when aligning the content of a label using the Style option. If width is not specified, the label is as wide as the content and, therefore, appears to not align the text correctly.

Default: 150

Visible Determines whether this control is visible.
Style CSS style of this object.
CSS Class CSS class of this object.

Common Uses

The reference label is used to display data to the end user.

Configure the Object

This procedure describes how to configure the Object.

  1. Double-click the Activity. The Layout tab is displayed.
  2. Drag an Activity Control Object from the Activity Designer to the Layout tab. The Object Configuration Wizard is displayed.
  3. Click in the Name text field and select the name Object and type your Object name, for example, RL1050ReferenceLabel.
    Note the Name text field cannot contain any spaces.
  4. Click in the Caption text field and replace the text with the object name which you want to display, for example, Reference Label.
  5. Click the Options tab and configure using the previously defined fields.
  6. Click OK.
  7. On the ribbon, click the File tab, click Save or press CTRL+S to save your changes.
  8. To provide the data for the Reference Label, the integration wizard can be used. For more information, see XMPro Integration Wizard.
  9. To provide the data for the Reference Label, the Reference Label Fast can be used. For more information, see How to use a Reference Label Fast Field.
