Question

How to reassign an XMPro pending task to a specific user or a business group?

Answer

Starting with version 6.5, XMPro includes – as standard – a business process allowing an administrator the ability to reassign tasks in XMPro Workspace.

Click on Task Reassign process under XMPro Processes as shown below:

Only members of the XMPro Administration Business Group will be able to access this task under “XMPro Processes”

When the form opens, it will display a list of all tasks currently pending in the XMPro Workspace.

Search by description of the task or Process ID in the grid as shown below to find the task that needs to be reassigned.

If the task has to be reassigned to a group, then select the required group from the Business group column and leave User column blank. See example below:

If the task has to be reassigned to a specific user, then select the required user from the User column list and leave the business group column blank. See example below:

Once you have correctly specified new owners for the task(s) which need to be reassigned, you may submit your request to the server by clicking the “Save” button.

The tasks will then become immediately available to their new owners.

Please note:

  • When a task is reassigned, the system will not send a notification E-mail to the new owner.
  • Task reassignment activity will not be shown in the business process audit trail. It is the responsibility of the System Administrator to obtain and keep a record of authorized users who can reassign task or tasks.
