Connector running too many times

How Can We Help?

Connector running too many times

< Back

It happens on occasion that a Connector mapping – such as a SQL transaction when submitting – posts too many times. This usually happens due to incorrect Connector configuration.

When the first tab of a Connector’s Input Mapping is defined against an Object Group, the Connector will be invoked for each line in the Object Group even if no Object Group fields have been mapped.

As an example, the following Connector mapping will be executed once only:

XMConnect 1

Contrast this to the following Connector Mapping, which will be executed once for each line found in the Object Group XCTO10Group, even though no fields have been mapped to Object Group values:

XMConnect 2

The only difference in these two screenshots is the selection of XCTO10Group as Object Group.

Please keep the above in mind when you see Connector transactions posting an incorrect number of times.
