GE Predix Action Agent

Description

The GE Predix action agent allows the user to perform REST operations of Assets and Time Series Services provided by GE Predix system.

The UAA service instance, Assets and/or Time Series service instance and Oauth2 client needs to be set up and configured. When using Assets service, the collection and its schema must be defined in Predix system prior to using this action agent.
Configuration

To add the GE Predix action agent to a stream, follow the steps below:

  1. Ensure you have a use case open in the stream designer, this can be a new use case or an existing use case
  2. From the toolbox on the left expand the Action Agents option and scroll down until you can see “GE Predix”
    • You can optionally use the search in the header to find the stream object quickly
  3. Click and drag the GE Predix action agent from the toolbox onto the canvas
  4. Rename the action agent by clicking into the text area to the right of the icon
  5. Save the stream by clicking the save button in the action bar
  6. Hover over the icon for the stream object until it turns orange and then double click to open the configuration page
    • You can also click on the configure option in the action bar after selecting the stream object
  7. Configuration options
    • The Collection drop down allows you to associate this stream object with a specific collection.  The selected option would be, by default, the same as the collection that was selected for the use case. If you do need to change it to another collection, select a different collection from the drop down.
  8. Service details
    • Select the service that you would like to use from the drop down
    • Fill in the Service URL
    • Enter the Zone ID
    • Enter the UAA URL
    • Enter the Username
    • Enter the Password
  9. Operation options
    • Select the operation that you would like to use from the drop down
    • If applicable, select the collection. This option is only available for the Assets service.
  10. Input Mapping options
    • One or more grids will be displayed, depending on the inputs that are required for the selected operation.
    • Please note that the input mapping section will not be visible if the selected operation does not have required inputs.
  11. Click Apply in the action bar, and then save the stream using the Save button
