Issue

When using the XMSite Manager to upgrade a database hosted on SQL 2008 R2 from a computer that doesn’t have SQL 2012 SMO objects installed, the wizard freezes at the server selection screen.

Resolution

  1. Install the SMO package from Microsoft® SQL Server® 2012 Shared Management Objects, click here.
