How Do I Resolve Error: System.InvalidOperationException: Unable to Generate a Temporary Class (result=1)?

Issue

The site is currently working and can be logged in, but the process is not working and the code is not being executed.

An attempt to remote connect from XMDesignerIs used to configure XMPro BPM solutions. on dev to prod but an error is received when trying to create the new site file.

Details:

• Server Operating System: Windows Server 2008 R2
• SQL version: SQL Server 2008 R2
• .Net 4.0 installed and application pool is operating under this pool
• Single tier installation (Web server and SQL server on the same box)

Resolution

This is due to lack of permission for NTAUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE account on the TEMP folder.

WORKAROUND

This is due to lack of permission for NTAUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE account on the TEMP folder.

To resolve this issue, assign NETWORK SERVICE the following permissions on C:\Windows\Temp;
