Data Stream Designer Permissions

When using the Data Stream DesignerIs a model-driven approach to connect, transform and action real-time “streaming” data in a visual, drag and drop manner. application and following a tutorial or documentation, you may find that some of the discussed content is missing, and the associated inaccessible. This is due to the permissions assigned to you by an administrator using the XMPro Subscription Manager.

For example, this is the home page with all the permissions granted:

And with no permissions allowed:

Note the lack of navigation options in the sidebar and the absence of the category list on the main page.

Similarly, this is the Collections page with all permissions granted:

And with the CreateCollection and DeleteCollection permissions revoked:

Note the absence of the “New” command and the “Select” command (which assists in deleting multiple collections).

If you are missing functionality required to complete a task, please talk to your administrator to request the required permission.
