How Do I Administer Access Rights within the XMDesigner?

Scenario

Processes need to be available to other admin users.

Answer

To make processes available to other site administrators the following steps need to be followed:

  1. Login to the XMDesigner as the Super Admin user (this is the user that is created when the site is installed), only this user can assign and revoke access rights through the Access Rights Editor.
  2. Once successfully logged in, click File and navigate to Options. This will open the Options Editor.

  1. Click the Administration (last) option and then the Access Rights selection. This will open the Access Rights Editor.

  1. Click the Administrator on the left that you need to amend, once selected it will populate the Process, Role Groups, Business Rules and Other tabs on the right.
  2. Access can now be given or revoked by checking and un-checking the various items and then clicking OK, and Close at the Options Editor.
